bloomUp establishes its presence in France accelerating sustainable transformation across the sports sector, organisations and local ecosystems

🇫🇷 We are proud to announce the launch of bloomUp France SAS – Société à Mission, based in Lyon.

This expansion formalises more than 15 years of active engagement within the French sport and major event ecosystem.

In France, bloomUp has already contributed to flagship projects including:

  • Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Games — circular economy, sustainable Look & Feel, and ISO 20121:2024 operational integration
  • Courchevel MĂ©ribel 2023 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships — carbon footprint and sustainability advisory leading towards ISO 20121 certification
  • WorldSkills Lyon 2024 — sustainability operations, impact frameworks and carbon footprint modelling, leading towards ISO 20121 certification
  • Collaborations with major international stakeholders operating across France

This new entity strengthens our proximity to French organisers, institutions and alpine territories, while reinforcing our long-term commitment to sustainable transformation in mountain sport and major events.

“France is a strategic territory for the future of sustainable sport and alpine events. By establishing bloomUp in Lyon, we are strengthening collaboration with local stakeholders to deliver science-based, operational and measurable impact — from climate trajectory alignment to biodiversity regeneration and social legacy.”

— Anne-Cécile Turner, French Co-Founder & Partner, bloomUp

Samuel Torikian will serve as the local sustainability liaison and consultant for bloomUp France, strengthening on-the-ground delivery and stakeholder engagement.

From our headquarters at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, bloomUp continues to support international federations, cities, Olympic stakeholders and global events through sustainability programmes and long-term transformation strategies.

As Milano Cortina 2026 enters its final phase, we now look ahead towards Alpes Françaises 2030, future world championships and the next generation of climate-aligned, impact-driven alpine events.

Beyond project delivery, bloomUp France will actively pursue local partnerships and collaborative ecosystems, working with French agencies and freelancers, mountain territories, public authorities, universities, innovation actors and operational stakeholders to accelerate measurable transformation across the sector.

From Lausanne to Lyon, our ambition remains clear:

  • Turn sustainability into a strategic performance driver
  • Combine governance, data and operational delivery
  • Move beyond compliance towards regenerative impact

The journey continues.
